This tutorial was written by Trish on June 22nd, 2010. Any similarity with other tutorial is purely coincidental.
The beautiful artwork I am using is ©José Cano. In order to use the images in this tutorial you MUST purchase them from MPT.
For this tutorial you will need a tube or closeup, and font of choice.
Mura's Meister Copies
Flaming Pear Primus
Lokas Software 3D Shadow
Filters Unlimited 2.0 - Distortion Filters
Pool Shadow - you can find it in Filter Factory Gallery A, Tramages or Greg's Factory Output Vol.II
Open a 600x250 px canvas.
Copy and paste your closeup or tube.
Apply Mura's Meister Copies, with the settings in Wallpaper (rotate), default values (should be 20-50-50-0-100-0-100-0-100-0-0-30-0).
Adjust, Blur, Gaussian blur, 10%.
Adjust, Blur, Motion blur, angle 315, strength 100.
Effects, Distortion effects, Wind, from left, strength 100.
Effects, VM Natural, Marble Madness, with values 122, 22, 105, 255.
Pick your pen tool, line width 10, colour white, and holding your shift key make a line along the tag. Objects, align, center in canvas. Convert to raster layer. Select all, float, and apply Flaming Pear Primus, first preset. Deselect.
Effects, Distortion effects, wave, with these settings:
Effects, Mura's Meister Copies, Tiling, default settings(1, 50, 50, 0, 0, 0, 100, 0, 100, 0, 0, 30, 0). Pick your lasso freehand selection tool and select the first and last line, and delete them. Deselect. Add a drop shadow, I used Lokas 3D Shadow with these settings:
Crop your image to merged opaque (should be 600x250).
Effects, Filters Unlimited, Distortion filters, Cracked. I used intensity in 30.
Duplicate this layer twice for a total of three. In the bottom one apply Pool Shadow, all values in 50 except intensity and lightness in 128. In the middle one I changed both 2nd diagonal and vertical values to 100, and in the top one changed them to 150.
Copy and paste your tube and give it the same drop shadow you used before. Resize it if needed. Move it to the right side of your tag. Again, crop your tag to merge opaque to eliminate any tube "leftover".
Add a new raster layer. Selections, select all, modify, contract by 10 px. Selections, invert, floodfill it with white. Effects, Flaming Pear, Primus, first preset. Effects, 3D effects, Drop shadow, 0, 0, 100, 10, black.
Add the proper copyright in a legible font. Give it a drop shadow or a contrasting gradient glow so it is readable.
Add your name. I used a font called Champagne & Limousines.
Time to animate!
Hide your top and middle pool shadow layers. Edit, copy merged, paste as a new animation in Animation Shop.
Hide your bottom pool shadow layer and unhide the middle one. Edit, copy merged, paste after current frame in AS.
Hide your middle pool shadow layer and unhide the top one. Edit, copy merged, paste after current frame in AS.
Change the frame properties: All frames to 25.
View animation and if you're happy with the result, save as gif.
